Louisville in Progress - Michael MarioT (3.43) is having himself a pretty nice game so far, as Louisville is taking the strap to Memphis. The Bats lead 4-0, and are still batting in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Mariot has kept the Redbirds off of the scoreboard, and has blasted a home run. Mariot has been playing for pay since 2010, and this is his first roundtripper. Kudos! Alfredo Rodriguez has just singled home another run making it 5-0.

Max Shrock has singled twice and scored two runs.
Alfredo Rodriguez has singled twice and driven in two runs.

Louisville - Jose Barrero has been named to the Futures Game. https://www.milb.com/louisville/news...o-futures-game

Louisville is now up 7-1 after three. They are bushwhacking Matthew Liberatore.

Michael Mariot is quickly becoming the poor man's Shohei Otani. He singles in another run in the 3rd.

Bats have 13 hits in the first three innings tonight.

Michael Lorenzen is not rehabbing in Louisville.

Dauri Moreta has been brought up from Chattanooga.

Chattanooga - The Lookouts have extended their lead to 5-0 on a two-run jack (2) off the bat of TJ Hopkins. Hopkins' OPS has climbed to .824.

Pitchers, Dylan Baker, has been activated as well as Nick Lodolo. Obviously.

Lodolo blanked Tennessee for two innings, dropping his ERA to 0.84.

Dayton - The Forgotten Ones are leading 2-1 through 4.

Jacques Pucheu has allowed one earned run in four innings. He has not walked a batter, and struck out 5.

Victor Ruiz scored the first run for the Dragons by doubling, and eventually coming home when Michael Siani was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

Mariel Bautista homered (1) for the second run.

Jesse Stallings and Jake Gilbert have changed places. Stallings to Dayton, Gilbert to ACL-Reds.

Bren Spillane is back on the IL.

Chattanooga - They keep stretching their lead. It now stands at 7-0.

Two walks and a TJ Hopkins triple do the bidding. He is now a double shy of a cycle.
Mark Kolozsvary has walked three times, and scored three times. Causation does not equal correlation.

I just hope there wasn't more blister issues. I did not hear what went on. But, doesn't 17 pitches seem like a pretty short outing, even if he did miss some starts?

TJ Hopkins isn't getting enough love. With a year off due to Covid, he jumped three levels (from the Pioneer League to AA) and has upped his OPS over 800. That ranks in the top 15 of the league. He's also slightly younger than average for AA, at age 24. His scouting report insists he has good wheels and a good enough arm for RF. He, Cedrola, and Friedl are all CF-capable and have done enough to at least earn tepid interest over the next couple of seasons.

Chattanooga Recap - Chattanooga pretty much had it on cruise control tonight, jumping out to a 7-0, and then throttling back for a 7-3 win.

Nick Lodolo made a start, finally. He went 2 innings and threw 17 pitches. That's efficient. 0 hits, 0 walks, 1 K.
Mac Sceroler piggy-backed on Lodolo's start, and rang up 3 scoreless frames. 3 hits, 0 walks, 5 Ks. He pushed his scoreless streak to 5 innings since coming back into the organization. He has yet to give up an earned run at for "Nooga.
Alexis Diaz worked a hitless stanza with 2 Ks.
Michael Byrne and Dylan Baker both got scored upon.

Errol Robinson - DBL, BB, RS.
Brandon Lee - 2 SGL, BB, 2 RBI.
    Mark Kolozsvary - 3 BB, 3 RS.
TJ Hopkins - SGL, TRPL, HR (2), 2 RS, 3 RBI. Pretty good. A double shy of a cycle.

Louisville Recap - Bats pretty much copied the Lookouts. They jumped ahead early, then gangsta-leaned on into the clubhouse. Bats sticks hammered out 18 hits.

Michael Mariot was a jack-of-all-trades tonight. He pitched 5 innings of 1-run baseball (3.12 - ERA). He also racked up 2 hits (SGl, HR (1), scored a run and knocked in 2.
Brandon Finnegan, Mike Feliz and Michael Lorenzon all hung a zero on the board. That makes 6 appearances (8 IP) in a row without giving up a run.

Scott Heineman - SGL, DBL, RS.
Max Schrock - 3 SGL, BB, HBP, 2 RS, RBI. Max is hitting .393, to go along with a .954 OPS. He's got Cincy on his mind.
Jose Barrero - 2 SGL, RS, RBI.
Alfredo Rodriguez - 3 SGL, RS, 2 RBI.
Mark Payton - 3 SGL, RS, RBI.
Chris Okey with a career night. - SGL, TRPL, BB, RS, RBI.
