Yes, it was. The Cincinnati Reds selected Ibarra in the fourth round, 119th overall, in MLB’s First-Year Player Draft on Monday. Recommended slot money for that spot is $483,000. Ibarra said he’ll sign a pro contract.

Donovan Benoit knows he's going to sign

After choosing to stay in school two years, Benoit now gets to embark on a professional career.

"This time I knew I was going to sign," he said. "I was with my family, so it made it that much better."

Kevin Abel saying goodbye to Oregon State. Sounds like he's in the fold.

    Jose Torres

On if he plans to sign with the Reds and turn pro

    I am.
It's an interview and that's from Torres.

    fwiw...

Farr was a redshirt junior not a senior
Thompson was a sophomore not a junior
Abel was a redshirt sophomore not a junior
Rogers was a junior not a senior

Parks is a U of South Carolina commit
Guillams is a U of Florida commit
Holt is not really considered a Juco player, he was technically a JR from Harvard playing on an NJCAA team due to COVID
Callahan is a U of Nebraska commit

    Cardona was a Jr.
    Rivera was a So.

Hayden Jones, like Carter Raffield, was a redshirted freshman, he still had 3 years of eligibility
Sam Benschoter was a senior, he had no more eligibility

The extra year of eligibility for 2020 spring athletes has made mlb's draft tracker useless when it comes to "CLASS"

I'm excited to see what Torres can do. Its pretty high praise to be called the best fielding SS in the Draft. Doesn't need to hit lights out to make it in the bigs.

Ruben Ibarra signed for 172,500$, that saves the Reds about 300,000$.

He could be Zach Cozart 2.0, which I would be A-OK with.
