This weekend is very important for the Reds.
This series is the first time the 2nd place Reds have faced the 1st place team in the NL Central after the all-star break since 8/15-8/17/2006 (Reds lost 2 of 3 to STL).
Side note: In 2010, the Reds entered an August series against the Cardinals in 1st place and ended it in 2nd place. There was a significant brawl in between there, but the Cardinals still swept the series. Reds won 7 in a row after that series & regained 1st place for good.
