Re: 7-17-21 Reds vs Brewers 7:10pm

    Charlie Goldsmith @CharlieG__
Nick Castellanos: “It’s not broken, but it doesn’t feel too good this morning.”
“I don’t think it was intentional, I just think he really didn’t want to leave that 3-1 fastball over the heart of the plate."

    C. Trent Rosecrans @ctrent
David Bell said Nick Castellanos' wrist is still sore and swollen. He said he hopes the swelling can be gone "pretty quick." Bell said it's possible Castellanos could be available for Saturday night's game against the Brewers, likely off the bench.

    Bobby Nightengale @nightengalejr
Nick Castellanos on #Reds being hit by 70 pitches, most in MLB: "I guess that’s just pitchers understanding that the majority of our lineup has the ability to hit a baseball over the fence. They don’t want to miss over the plate."

Castillo is on a roll. Scratch out a few runs for him and even the series.

Hope to be wrong. But doubt we see Nick for at least the next two days. But he is a gamer so you never know.

The Mets have Taijuan Walker listed as their starter for Sunday.

So, it’s looking like Jacob deGrom on Monday.
Reds will face deGrom on Monday

Jacob deGrom felt tightness in his forearm during his bullpen session. He's not pitching Monday.
Well, that's what those words mean. He was here. If they don't keep him, he will have been lost/subtracted. I headed out the door today with two shoes on my feet. If I don't return with them, I have lost them. If I do return with them, I haven't added them. ---M2

Nope. He’s shutdown with forearm tightness.

I’m putting my order in now for 1 or 2 GABP specials to go the Reds way tonight…

Any chance for a rainout tonight? Not that I don’t think Shogo can hit or anything.

Brewers reliever Devin Williams is out for the rest of the series against the Reds.

“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
