Just 1 slam will do it, once we get the five hitters who are on the field now across the plate!

After Castellanos was removed the game on Friday, the Brewers outscored the Reds 25-6 for the rest of the series.

Group 4 meeting. Honey Jack and Coke. Lots of fun. Topics include stealing bases will help you manufacture runs and make the BA great again.

Winker has obviously been in a slump but I don’t think he looked particularly bad at the plate this series, he hammered several balls that were loud outs.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

With that little rally in the 9th, that was stoked by the interception, and that prevented a complete game shut-out, but netted no runs, the Reds ended with 5 players getting one hit, while the Brewers had 5 players who got 2 hits.

So they lost again then. What a terrible organization. Can’t believe I stopped drinking to watch this.

Some are positive and upbeat, some are pessimistic. They often disagree. But they all know and enjoy baseball. They can usually back up their opinions. Then there is the 2nd group who come to vent, troll, and instigate. They often make comments that are not rooted in fact. When they get called out or proven wrong, they get angry or defensive. They disappear when things do go well. The only things they can add are "the Reds suck," or "why do you all waste your time on the Reds" or dumb crap like that. They don't know baseball well enough to add to the discussion.

    They are best ignored.
There are two kinds of posters in game threads.

Those that divide Redszone posters into two groups, and posters like myself who refuse to do so.

Stepping away from game threads can be a therapeutic thing to do.

I love the Reds but when I find myself getting wrapped around the axle about them, I find some other preoccupation. Like beer or movies or a good hike or my grandchildren. I know some people say baseball is life, but it’s also just a child’s game played by grown men.

Christian Yelich on the Brewers’ seven-game lead in division after sweeping the #Reds: “It's a bad week away from being a really tight race. It's far, far, far from over."

Reds are 48-45 with 69 games left in their season.

Yesterday's thud allowed me to do some much overdo yard work. Weeds are gone, mowing done.
