I follow them because I am looking for Keefe Cato to get his second win and why might I ask do you care? why dont you research bob shirleys career instead of caring who I root for I dont hate the reds their performance speaks for itself res ipsi loquitor (look it up)
The Mets lineup has been added to the original post
Don't need to look it up. Know what it means. So I will ask this. You I expect like all the talking heads on TV predicted the Reds to be at or below .500 when the season started. So they are playing slightly better than predicted. So why are you saying they are preforming poor?
It is not like anyone thought they would play like the 27 Yankees. I don't get people who claim to be fans. But all they do is complain about the team non stop. Do you expect them to be a playoff team every single season? They have 5 world championships in history. So if people expect them to be in contention year in year out. It is not going to happen.
As of right now they are indeed in contention. Long shot to make it but still in contention.
Sports are entertainment. The Reds from what I gather from your posts do not entertain you at all. Life is short. Enjoy some of it.

I will add this.. If Senzel is healthy enough to be on a rehab stint, why not just activate him and have Senzel play CF.
Note: I am assuming he's healthy enough, but if not, I apologize.. that's the impression I have though.
Senzel at 30% is better than Shogo at 100%.
OR maybe the IL timer is still ticking on Senzel, I don't know.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

Not really good, but I guess not horrible. I'd say below average.
Has a well below average arm.
He catches all the balls that he gets too, but most MLB OF do.
Doesn't make mistakes on defense, but he's not exactly a guy with great range.. all my opinion, not based on stats.
Note, being an "Average CF" is a high bar to reach, some of the greatest athletes play that position.

Agree with this. Shogo was just a bad signing. It happens. Giving him regular playing like some have called for is not going to make the signing any better.
Naquin has been below average really since April. If I was making out the lineup card. I would play Aquino with what they have on the roster now. I would play him against LHP and against RHP who are mostly fastball pitchers with below average sliders. I would mix in Naquin against some RHP and use Shogo for late inning defense and pinch running.
Senzel is the best choice to play regular in CF if/when he can ever stay on the field.
Reds could barely stay around .500 with cast and Winker killing the ball. Now no Cast and Winker is off bad. This team especially these lineups are gon a struggle.
What will it take to get Suarez out of the lineup?

My thoughts on Suarez are. I think he may still be struggling due to the shoulder surgery. Or another possibility and I would think they check there things but eyesight.
I would give him till the all star break next year to see if it was indeed his shoulder. If that is the problem and it still hasn't healed then you got to cut bait and DFA him.
I think it is his shoulder and I could be wrong. If it is they are not going to let that be known to the public.
Players his age don't fall from a .930 OPS pre shoulder surgery down to .625 for no reason.
Everyone can see how bad he is pulling off the ball. We see it. You know the coaches see it. Everyone is baseball sees it.
I think it is due to the shoulder.
The Reds are in a tough spot with him. They can't give up on a guy 29 years old. Under a team friendly contract. Who has put up the numbers he has in the past. If they were the Dodgers or Yankees maybe they go ahead a eat the contract and DFA him. Reds can't afford to take that loss at least not yet. Had Moose been healthy. I suspect Suarez would have been playing a lot less.
