Feel bad for the home crowds. Announcers were encouraging them all to come out for the post-break homestand, and they get a 1-5 record so far with half of them not even being competitive to the end.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Many great moments had Friday and Saturday was more than a good time….end didn’t work but exciting throughout. Sunday sucked.

I would’ve stabbed myself with Monday’s loss and today would’ve sucked but could’ve had prime seats easily.

Preparations for the second half of the season by Reds and Brewers?

Reds - David Bell spends hours going over pitchers and matchups, coaches meetings, charts, graphs, computer algorithms, etc.

Brewers - Let's just hit Castellanos on the hand.

Ah, Ulie! An essential cog to the young red machine. He was the new jimmy stewart after the big trade. His daughter is some kind of well-known athlete. Olympics maybe? It was a few years ago.

I like Shogo and I like Geno. Their offensive woes make me more sad than angry. But overall I'm just mad that ownership wouldn't fix the the glaring problem with this team. Or that they knowingly went into this season content and aware of the fact. Everything else is just whatever at this point. With a competent bullpen we're legit contenders. Games like today happen, but over the course of a season bullpen's like ours sink you.
