Pitching matchups favor us in this series, the Cardinals are not sending us their best, folks. But they just took a series from the Cubs to get back over .500 so they’re on the upswing while we are most certainly down.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Today is my birthday and I’ve been a good and loyal fan. I deserve a Reds win!

Cardinals only have 5 guys in their lineup that look the same and all run 4.4 40’s….hope they make bad decisions today,

I don't often expect or ask for a sweep. But a mediocre Cardinal team at home while missing their better pitchers? I say go ahead and sweep 'em.

Brewers playing the WhiteSox. Reds are in a good spot to make up some ground this weekend.

We just have to take care of what we can control. If the Reds sweep this series and the Brewers win….it’s still good for us. We have to get winning consistently again.

My advice to the Reds on how to win this series: don't give up 11 HRs in these 3 games like you did to the Mets

My advice is for Mahle, Castillo and Gray to each go 8 or 9 innings. Hembree coves the few innings they don't and that would =SWEEP

I’ll take it a a step farther…don’t miss over the plate

AND….the Cardinals pitchers won’t give in, so if it’s 3-2 in the 8th and runner on 1st and 3rd with no outs and a 3-1 count…..you still aren’t getting a cream puff, they will attempt to hit a corner still, so be ready.

Mahle 2.26 ERA with just 3 HRs allowed in 59 road innings...6.37 ERA with 11 HRs allowed in 41 innings at home

I wonder if we will get an explanation as to how the micro fracture was missed. That really stings.

    Nice first AB.

Not good second AB. Nibble and get behind and get rocked. Kind of what he does.
