Hendrix dominated the (lower) minors. He isn't a major league arm at this point and likely won't be.

Can't really trust relief prospects. It seems like all successful bullpen guys are former starters.

Whatever… 2 out of 3. Let’s put the Cubs out of their misery next…

Although… coming back and beating the Cards in the 9th would likely put them out of their misery also. We’ve had baserunners… keep it going.

If I worked in the current Reds front office, I would bet against the Reds and make bank.

    Well...
Like Meatloaf says "2 outta 3 ain't bad."

Keep winning series and everything should be alright.

6 runs might be enough to win it if we had a manager who can tell when his starter doesn't have it. Too much of a "let him work through it" guy. Everybody has bad days. Takes a manager with some stones to tell his starter the day is over. Even with our mostly bad bullpen, you could see Sonny had just started throwing BP... and Bell allowed it to go on too long.

At least the Padres lost. I think the Padres are a better team, but the Giants and Dodger may hang enough losses on them to make that wild card spot viable. Gotta get some arms for the bullpen, Keep Santillan, Brach, Hembree and Garrett.Maybe Hoffman as a mop-up guy. Replace the others.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

    Good series, bad finish

This team has short memories and for the most part that is good

I don't think anyone has ever called Bell a let him work through it guy, especially with starting pitchers lol. our bullpen is terrible, he stuck with the better pitcher too long who didn't have it today. this game is not on Bell, it was just a really bad start and an offense that missed a lot of opportunities and still still scored 6 runs.

This is baffling. Have you been in about every game thread where Bell is called Tinker Bell? He pulls pitchers out too early more than too late. Gray is about the only pitcher on this team besides Miley who has been a starter that you give more time to get it together. On top of that this bullpen was overused the last 2 days. And as we all know relievers can barely go 2 days in a row. Even the best ones.

I listen to the WLW audio overlay and hear the Cowboy offer up criticism fairly often.

You know what? That’s good enough for Amir Garrett. STFU when you have a 9 ERA. That’s what you get.

F Javy Baez too… don’t get me wrong. But I love to see a shiiid-talker who can’t back it up get his face kicked in. Justice.
