Really wouldn't mind Cubs deciding to trade Bryant and Rizzo before series starts. No need to delay any longer Cubs, just move em

Would be great to win this one with Miley on the mound.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I like Aquino between Winker and Votto. He should get some stuff to hit. 5 through 9 isn't very good, but Farmer has been hot. Wish Stephenson was in there. Barnhart has been a sub .650 OPS since June 1. Still better than Suarez though and about the same as Naquin. Yikes.

I get that Tucker always catches Miley, but it’s tough to see TySteve sit after the day he had yesterday.

Hope they don’t put together a nostalgic “one last time” series and play like it’s 2016.

He is a great weapon to pinch hit, especially when the pitcher in the game at the time is mandated to face him.

Will Suarez strand more or less than 6 baserunners tonight?

The righty lefty insisting will win the game for us in the 7th inning.

The reasons to put Suarez 5th are nauseating

    Elias Sports Bureau @EliasSports

Kyle Hendricks is 10–0 w/ a 2.50 ERA over his last 13 starts. Only three @Cubs pitchers over the last 90 years won 11 straight decisions as a starting pitcher within one season:

    Milt Pappas (11 in 1972)
    Rick Sutcliffe (14 in 1984)
    Jake Arrieta (11 in 2015)

He also leads the NL in hits allowed and Ks less than 7 per 9. His control is excellent, but a bit off the pace from last year. We can get 3-4 runs off this guy. Need a strong start from Miley - but that feels like a given at this point.

    Reds win 5-3.
