What happened to the line drive appoach?

I'm seeing more big, uppercut swings, particularly in bases loaded situations. Does anyone else agree? Communication issue on the team?

The line drives were so nice earlier in the year. Made the games fun, and the offense formidable.

Home runs, walks, and strikeouts. We don't need no stinking line drives.
