Good move from Reds perspective, like it, cost a little dough but relief help sorely needed.

I think this is the takeaway most people are missing. The Reds added talent and were willing to add payroll in order to add that talent. That’s the first time that has happened in awhile. It’s a positive sign going forward. It is humorous that it’s the Yankees shedding payroll and the Reds taking it on. Topsy Turvy.

Wilson, 33, was 1-1 with a 7.50 ERA in 21 relief appearances. He missed 34 games over two stints on the injured list with left shoulder inflammation and a right hamstring strain.

That doesn't really matter right now because they could just reallocate that money from somewhere else (ie Lorenzen coming off the books). It doesn't mean they're adding $2.3 mil to the payroll next year.
