I am forever going to maintain the Reds are the ones who officially killed off the Cubs' championship team. If the Reds don't stomp them in two separate series this month, the Cubs brass might have been inclined to see if this crew had one last rodeo in them. Instead they're going to sold as meat.

Yeah I imagine it's just a no-lose move by the Yanks, they're probably dead this year but Rizzo isn't the impact player he used to be and so the cost to rent him isn't too much.

There was mention of the Yankees trading for Trevor Story after the Gallo deal was announced. Imagine that's no longer there with Rizzo being added

Reds should pick him up. He's an upgrade over Naquin and Shogo in CF.

Mets and Cubs are talking about deals for Kris Bryant and/or Zach Davies. Could make a nice package and solve Mets’ two main issues. Cubs have a lot going on obvs.
