You sure that wasn't a preseason NFC North game?

Considering the standards set by the league in their handling of our own Nick C, how is Javy Baez not suspended for throwing a bat towards the pitcher?

I thought the Lions had beat the Vikings in a very early pre season game.

Dang, Reds should’ve been in on that. Although Hand is kind of having a downish year. Adams is a glove only guy, I wonder if we couldn’t have beaten this with a better prospect and have them cover his salary.

Padres are working hard to try to reach agreement on a Scherzer deal with Nats. They may be in the lead but no sense the Dodgers or others are out yet. Also very important; in the end, while Scherzer will consider these finalists, with full veto rights, he can call the shot.

The Padres are working to acquire Max Scherzer from the Nationals, per source, but the deal is not done yet.
@Ken_Rosenthal was first with the news.

I was hoping Max’s contractual complexities would keep him in DC.

At least we won’t see him in that Nats series in the final week.

Heyman tweeted that there’s still multiple teams involved in Scherzer trade discussions.

I'm not sure San Diego fits Max. I could see him wanting to pitch for one of the bay area teams but not sure about SD or either of the LAs

Red Sox still listed as in on Scherzer, but last I checked, they’re not on the West coast.
