    MLB Top 150. Reds have picks #18, #33, #55, and #73.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

-I would focus on adding college arms, and look to add promising HS bats.
Justin Crawford. I love the idea of favoring relatives of ex-ML players!

2022 mock draft: Position players pack Top 10

    18. Reds: Dylan Lesko, RHP, Buford (Ga.) HS (No. 9)
Lesko was this Draft's top pitching prospect until he injured his elbow and had Tommy John surgery in April. He's unlikely to go in the top 10 any longer, but he shouldn't drop too far.

It's worth asking if he'll be the next Lucas Giolito...or be in the next bunch of guys whose names I can't quite remember.

    Re: 2022 Draft Discussion

Right now, I really like Gavin Cross. Not sure he drops all the way to 18, but it's possible. His is the type of profile-- big-time exit velocities, big-time power projection, super-quick bat-- that the Reds have focused on in drafts lately. College OF Jordan Beck is another in the same vein, as is Chase DeLauter.

SS Zack Nito and SP Gabe Hughes are college guys who could move quickly. (Nito's bat is my favorite tool I've seen in highlights so far this year, though I've yet to make a serious dive into draft guys-- and won't until closer to the NCAA tournament.)

OF Justin Crawford (son of Carl) and SS/CF Jett Williams are HS bats that are interesting too. The Reds may go with Cam Collier, a HS 3B with (again) good bat speed, loft, and backspin. (He's a Rece Hinds type, if that helps.)

Cam Collier is who I'd like to see the Reds draft, if they have a chance. Otherwise, a college pitcher will do nicely.

    Jonathan Mayo 2022 Mock Draft

    18. Reds: Cole Young, SS, North Allegheny HS, Pa. (No. 18)
If the Reds want to go with a college arm, Gonzaga’s Gabe Hughes could come into play here. But there’s a sense they are leaning bats, with the Pittsburgh-area prepster getting the edge this week over college hitters like Beavers or Beck.

Not sure about BA, but mlb pipeline had this yesterday..

    17. Phillies: Brandon Barriera, LHP, American Heritage HS, Fla. (No. 15)
This remains a spot where arms mostly come up, and if a college one has a huge postseason, they could go that route.

    18. Reds: Zach Neto, SS, Campbell (No. 25)
If Cleveland takes Neto, then maybe the Reds nab DeLauter. Whatever the case, it’s looking like a bat here.
    2022 Draft: Zach Neto, SS

    19. A’s: Dylan Beavers, OF, California (No. 21)
It’s been a bit of an up-and-down season for Beavers, but he can hit the ball very hard with an intriguing power/speed combination.

I’d love to see DeLauter fall to the Reds but I doubt it happens.

I said the same thing about McLain a year ago so just putting it out there…

I’d be good with DeLauter, Neto, or my dream pick is Crawford. I think Crawford will get taken in top 10, though.

    Rocker looked pretty good in his first Indy league start - 4 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 0 BB, 6 K. Sat 95-97 and touched 99.
