    Field of Dreams Game

Lance Lynn looks like he could have walked out of cornfield from that time period…

    Except that Nike swoosh…

Costner just said on the broadcast that Manfred said this was not a one time deal. Maybe the Reds next year!?!

I think I saw on Twitter that David Ross let it slip that the Cubs will be in it next year

Fun fact. They had to irrigate to get the corn to grow because they had such extreme drought when they got ready to shoot. It almost shut the film down…
It was a big time drought here in Cinci. That was the year my son was born in January (1988) and we’d sit with him in a kiddie pool and then water plants with pool water. We had a watering ban going and I got a $50 ticket for watering my grass and the county said the next one would be $500. So about 1/2 my lawn died. Had to replant it that fall.

Pretty cool set up, but there is this monsterous LED scoreboard in the middle of the cornfield.

Why didn’t they just build a manual scoreboard and have some Iowa kids working it? Not a very nostalgic look.
I was wrong…They do have a manual scoreboard. Just didn’t see that on the MLB network.

Its a novelty, but well done in my opinion.

This could be the Sox year. They seem to be clicking on all cylinders now.

Hottest summer of my past 35 years by far was that summer, spent it in Fairfax, no AC, just miserable, left to drive to Oregon the morning August 25th and go there in 50 hours, saw my all time favorite sunset in Nebraska

If it's the Cubs, then it will probably be the Cardinals too.

Cubs Cards? Talk about Children of the Corn.

I was thinking if they kept this going, they’d rotate it among the Cubs, Sox, Cards, Twins and Royals for the regional draw and then a visitor.
