I know he’s had a couple bad games this week, but Moose is actually likely to rebound especially as he gets more playing time. Geno isn’t going to do anything beyond his best Chris Davis act out there at this point.

    Whatever I guess.

edit: wait wtf did the lineup get changed or can I just not read? Jesus Christ, that’s what drinking like 15 beers the day before does to a mf. Justice for Farmdawg, tho.

Aquino isn't really a CF, but he's a better choice on both offense and defense with a lefty on the mound.
Zack Wheeler is a RHP, he bats LH.

Ron’s got the answer, it’s lefty righty. Good work Ron Madden.

So there’s a reason for this, either an injury or absence, a matchup issue, or something of that type.
The reason is Zack Wheeler is a RHP

Edited my post to congratulate you on your fine detective work. That’s the answer. I should have remembered that, oh well.

What does everyone think about Castellanos? Will we see Castellanos hit like he did before getting hit against the Brewers again this season?
Don't get me wrong he is still very good. But we need the old Castellanos back. Brewers knew what they were doing.

He was showing signs the game I attended last Saturday. Took a pitch mostly down the middle, a bit to the outer portion and drove it over the RF fence 20 ft from foul pole….beautiful swing. Next AB ripped a pull shot down LF line but was robbed of a double….later in game hit one hard the RF just got to. His swings were good!

Seems like teams recently have been throwing the Reds pitch after pitch that aren’t quite getting there and Reds are wailing a bit and looking bad….Nick is in this group. Not sure how the Phillies will attack us but something to watch.

I think he’s ok but pitchers are pitching him well. As is I’d like to see him a tiny bit up in the box….at least how the Braves pitched him

Didn't realize Wheeler is pitching tonight. He's been lights out lately. A true test for our Redlegs.

FWIW Castellanos, Votto, and Moustakas have all hit Wheeler well in limited appearances. This may be an upgraded model.

Phils lineup (obviously) relies heavily on Harper and Mahle destroys LHB. So there’s that. Would be nice to get this one. I don’t love the Gray v. Nola matchup on Sunday.

As for O/U 7.5 Ks for Wheeler… the only way he doesn’t get there is if we run him early. Even 6 IP 4 ER likely comes with 8 Ks against this lineup.
