Win the series and continue to be no more than 2 and a half back.
Thank you Dbacks. For a good weekend. Apparently they only win against the Reds and Padres.

    Re: 8-15-21 Reds @Phillies 1:05pm

Really need to get this finale today. A 3-4 trip seems much more tolerable than 2-5. Get back home and clean up on a couple of deplorables.

You know, one needs to look no further than yesterday to see why many of us love baseball more than any other game and why I spent so many summers with a transistor held up to my ear or my butt perched in front of a TV set for three or fours at a time. Matt Moore, a guy who pitched for the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks last season and hadn't won a game as a starter in the majors since 2018, pitched six no-hit innings against a Reds' offense that has been pretty potent this season. Last night, a guy by the name of Tyler Gilbert pitches a no-hitter in his first major league start last night against a good Padres lineup . Gilbert pitched in 2019 for a team named the Little Pigs and spent last summer climbing around in attics working as an electrician. Folks, THAT's why we're so addicted to this game called baseball!!! YOU JUST NEVER KNOW ...

I especially like where Suarez is... on the bench

Gotta hand it to the D-Backs. They have seemed really engaged and have played with a lot of energy this weekend. Only about 15 or 16 thousand fans in the stands but the team has competed hard.

Happy to see Wink back. Will Antone and Senzel return tomorrow?

Mike Freeman was DFA’ed. No problem with that move, but why is Doolittle still in this team?

Maybe TySteve needs to assume the role of batting coach for a week or so.

So if Farmer tears his ACL today, Senzel or Suarez will be the shortstop in the wildcard game?

I’d much rather have Senzel on this team instead of Shogo. Big Bob has to justify the millions they’re paying him, I guess.
