Agreed.
He’s showing his true colours by trying to use the media spotlight to get back in, rather than wait patiently for him to be asked, or other people to rally around him and make the ask on his behalf. He’s doing this early, impatiently, and in doing so, illustrates down playment of his actions.
That interview is hilarious in about a thousand different ways. Thom is such an idiot.
His numbers are probably reasonably accurate from the perspective of his personal experience. But think about, who is going to go out of their way to go up to him and say "I'm glad you're gone. I hope they don't bring you back."?
But, then again, Thom not being able to think through a topic logically before spouting of a strongly held opinion is nothing new.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

i just want to point out that i'm among the 1% (or 10% depending on thom's math acumen) who see thom at the gas station and tell him, "i'm so glad you're gone. thank god for that hot mic."
i'm doing my part. the other 99% (or 90%) are just lousy people.
That's funny cause it isn't 100%. Does anyone think when he goes out anyone is going to tell him to his face how much he sucks and is glad he lost his job? Even those who are critical of people online will turn into the biggest fanboy if they meet the object of their wrath in person.

Exactly. But I don't know if it's pretend with some of these people. And I'm not necessarily talking about Thom here but using LeBron as an example. People out there spend so much time online hating on the guy but I would bet you that if those same people who hate on him met him in person, they would be star struck and treat him like he's their favorite player. At the very least they would be civil to him. It's just human nature to be awed by a celebrity. But, getting back to Thom, to paraphrase RedsManRick, who is going to go out of their way to say something nasty about him? At worst, like you said, people would more than likely ignore him rather than be mean to his face.
I must be in the minority...I’ve never had any problem telling anyone what I think to their face...good or bad.
The best I could probably muster would be, “Well, I hope you learned something from all this.”
Who effing cares...this team is garbage
I don't see how anyone would want this act back:
