And I hate to enter dead horse territory on this, but man it does not stop being frustrating too to see Suarez still getting every LHP. Maybe it’s also a day game after night game thing with Moose, but at this point I’d rather just give him the reps to get his timing and swing back and whatnot than roll Geno out there to earn himself another golden sombrero.

Its a valid question, especially considering that Naquin will be less effective today as well. Hopefully Stephenson and Aquino can offset
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Bell probably trusted Farmer more against the Brewers big guns. He did get a couple of hits.

Barrero strikes out pretty often and maybe Bell felt he shouldn’t play against Burnes and Woodruff.

Agree that it’s unfortunate Farmer isn’t playing against the LHP. Looking for Barrero to come through.

I view this as a big game for Aquino.

He strikes out so much against RHP that he’s not a great choice in those games.

This is a big game against a LHP, it should be AA’s wheelhouse, so hopefully he comes through.

I think the Farmer sitting today is more of a late breaking strategy move, with the two unplanned losses this week so far has made the realization clear that the only way to make the play-offs is with the much less desired wild card spot. The Reds control their own destiny by a game and it seems very do-able. Farmer is a key part of doing it, and to better serve the long picture and to help him be as effective as possible for the duration of the season, not starting him the day game after a night game was the most prudent choice. I was thinking that with Milw strong today with lefties, and if both Farmer and India played, maybe Bell would try Barrero in CF to make it righties everywhere except 1st base.

Let's hope the Reds fans step up their never-doubting game. I can't stomach another weak bone loss.

would be nice to salvage it like they did the other week against Atlanta
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Resiliency has characterized this bunch all season. Every time they've been written off as a team that's just gonna hover around .500 or worse , they've always bounced back and proved detractors wrong. I look for the same bounce back today.

I feel like Geno is going to go against all the terrible numbers and do something positive at the plate today. Does anyone else feel it?

I feel like he's swing and miss at a down and away pitch and think curveball on the next two and watch two fastballs go by

Because that's the vibe he's been giving all year

No. Not even close. Not scientific, but maybe the “blind squirrel” principle will kick in. There is no justification for him starting anymore.

This is heart over head managing/thinking.

I don't know, maybe it's just that aching in my groin area from the thoughts of someone having to carry Sadak's bulging bag, but I feel like Geno's gonna run into some really hard up there today.

That’s not Barrero’s correct OPS vs lefties this year. They only used his AA splits for some reason.
