Could we finally be seeing the end of the suarez obsession? Has reality finally dawned on management? Suarez needs to go play in japan. They'd dig his big fly act there.

There's a good chance Geno comes back next season as good as ever.

I assume you mean Degrassi: The Next Generation. Votto was only 18 when a pre-wheelchair Drake was was hitting every basket.

They have to make a roster move before the game tonight right? They were definitely already at 26

Good to know... I only know this show because my sister in law was watching it when I met my wife

I think they'll just move Antone to the 60 day IL

I've wondered why they just don't send him to Louisville, let him work things out there for a couple of weeks. Dodgers did that with Puig, IIRC, and he came back hitting a lot better.
Rounding third and heading for home...

I think they get a couple days to officially make a move. I doubt Cabrera is in Miami in time for the game so maybe it waits until tomorrow

True, but the same thing was said last year.

This is no longer a “Fluky season” or “Small simple size” slump he is in.

NOW they’ll send Santillan down for a couple of days. Maybe even try to get him in to a game at Louisville after his recent unpleasantness against the Brewers. He’ll be back when rosters expand.

I like Cabrera. He’s been around: 30 WAR player. He’s never been especially productive in the postseason, but he’s certainly had loads of experience. I suspect he’ll get most of the PT at 3B against lefties. Also a versatile bench bat/glove. Reds are on the hook for $300,000, so apparently they’re willing to spend a little money. Nothing wrong with this at all.

The 40 man roster has openings. The 26 man roster is the issue and Antone isn't on it. He went to the IL when Schrock was recalled. They will definitely need to remove a player from the 26 man roster, but probably not today. Cabrera will need to report first and I doubt he will be there in time for today's game.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

They already have a couple of spots open on the 40. Need to clear a spot on the 26 since Shrock took Antone's spot. I would guess Barrero goes.

Not sure why there’s a good chance. There is some chance that Suarez’ problems are totally injury related. But if so, why does he have almost 500 PAs?

If there’s an outfield version of Cabrera around, I wouldn’t mind Reds making a pickup there too. They could use a RH or switch hit bench bat for the OF, Aquino isn’t doing much IMO.
