He likes a stick of candy just nine inch long
He sells as fast a hog can chew his corn

I thought John Candelaria was the Candy Man.

    I'm not a system player. I am a system.

Re: Reds pick up Asdrubal Cabrera on waivers

    Statistics update:

On August 27, 2021, the Reds selected Cabrera off waivers from Arizona. He first appeared for the Reds the next day, August 28th. His batting line in 19 plate appearances since then:

.000/.105/.000 for an OPS of .105. He has one walk and a HBP to show for those plate appearances.

In games that he has appeared, the Reds are 3 wins, and 9 losses. Overall since 8/28/21, the Reds are 4-11.

Having watched many of those games, I see nothing good about Cabrera's brand of play. He seems slow and uninspired, and seems to be just going through the motions. I know, small sample size, but still....

Is it Cabrera's fault the Reds have a terrible 15 game stretch? No, but he has contributed essentially nothing to the team since they brought him in. I'd much rather see Lopez or Barrero get those plate appearances.

I liked the signing when it happened but the results certainly have not been good. You make excellent points.

The thing is, though...the guy is a unit. I don't get the Moose is fat stuff and it really adds nothing interesting to the board.
What would you find interesting to talk about, regarding Moose? Remember, positive only.
