Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. -- Carl Sagan (Pale Blue Dot)

I've been getting ads that he was scheduled to be at the Lexington Comicon in a couple of weeks.
It is on the whole probable that we continually dream, but that consciousness makes such a noise that we do not hear it. Carl Jung.

Looks like he's gonna miss that.

Ed Asner was also scheduled to appear at Cons in Indianapolis and Knoxville in the next two months. I had been considering attending one of those Cons and perhaps chatting with him. R.I.P.

The funny thing about Ed Asner is that he was only 40 years old when the Mary Tyler Moore show debuted. I remember a few episodes before I left for the army, and that’s probably the last time I saw him, but he seemed like 60 years old back then. I had no idea he was still around.

Yea I thought he was old then. He was just someone who had that "old" look. Asner was a great actor. From MTM to his own show Lou Grant. He could drama or comedy with the same great results. RIP Ed Asner.

He was great as the conflicted slave ship captain in Roots.
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

I thought the Lou Grant Show was terribly underrated
