Doing everything in that he's genuinely trying to improve. That doesn't mean that, in the moment, he never makes mistakes. He obviously does.

But that's not the same as someone who has no interest in improving and who stubbornly does the same thing over and over no matter what (yeah, I'm talking about you, Amir Garrett).

One think Geno never does is hustle to first base on groundouts. If I was hitting as bad as he has I would at least hustle. That irks me more than his slump.

As I recall in 2020, Joey had a very public benching. Suarez never received the same treatment. Something that should have happened months before Moose ever came back.

I agree with mhs95-06. He refuses to correct his pull swing. His front shoulder flies open nearly every pitch. There were plenty of at bats when he could have forced the ball the other way, but he stuck with trying to pull everything.
Comparing me to Jim Day is slander. You'll be hearing from my lawyer.

Heck, I like Jim. I was kinda sad he didn't get more of a chance to call games on TV.

Real question: What happened to John Sadak? Did he get in a car accident?

not just 4 straight losses but 3 straight series losses now too.

Even still, I just wouldn't have guessed after the bounceback against the Brewers last Thursday and the win in Miami on Friday that they were on the verge of a costly losing stsreak.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

The timing sucks for this losing streak. Very frustrating loss again today. Just win tonight and it will be ok. Right? Right?

Bell made a bad decision in an important game in which Reds were leading. He should have known better than to leave Miley in there.
I typically give Bell the benefit of the doubt, but that was crazy to leave Miley in to face Goldschmidt again after he clearly didn't have it today.
