I disagree. I don't want to put the lead run on 1st, especially with just one out.

Watching this team, that we're even having a playoff discussion is remarkable.
Rounding third and heading for home...

Goot 1-4 in last 5 outings, all losses to losing teams.

Over / Under on Bell surviving the off-season? I'm going with fired. Someone has to take the blame.

No fight in this team, none that I can see.

Farmer was never the right answer at SS...his OPS+ is 80 which is 3 points above his career OPS+ and somehow that is acceptable? He's a solid utility guy

Precisely. Those of us saying that during his hot streak were jeered at, and ripped up one side and down the other. The guy belongs in a utility role.

Before today's game, Shogo was 2 for his last 20 at-bat's. Jettison him.

Yeah. Akiyama was a great addition to the team.

Nope, Bell won't get fired. Maybe a coach will be changed, but 99% sure Bell will be back.
And that's not a bad thing, it's not as if the Reds would bring in a premium manager to replace him.
I'm actually ok with Bell.. Yes, some of his moves are puzzling, but we've had much worse.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

You say that as though the Reds made a conscious effort to keep him there over better options. Ideally he is a utility guy, but he’s been great this year.

I think what you heard was let’s ride his hot streak as long as we can.

But now Bell doesn’t want to offend him because he’s played hard and played pretty well for the bulk of the season and he’s played hurt. But he also has looked tired since the end of June.

There’s a reason why he hasn’t gotten a start in two weeks. He can’t hit, no pop whatsoever. There’s no way they bring this failure back next season, right?

I was just thinking about this. In an organization focused on winning his head would roll. The Reds focused on winning? HAHAHAHA. Another point is if we were focused on winning we'd have fixed the pen and other weaknesses this off season.

They probably got the most out of his offensive game that he will ever achieve, but Berrera.
