I know hitting doubles and homers is the thing these days... but when u have 1 infielder covering a whole side of field, you should do anything to hit it that way. A few of those and runs are scored

I have a theory that it’s a little like those stages of grief. You’ve been playing loose, but it’s become sloppy. You try to tighten up, but now you’re playing tight. You try harder, but now you’re trying too hard. You have a team meeting, and you play worse. Finally, you get mad and say, “Screw this,” and just play. That’s when you get back to playing loose but alert.

Really good points. I was thinking the same thing early this morning. That's why I reasoned that they might come out today and blow the Pirates out. After last night, I thought they might just give a collectibe "screw it" and just come out and play.
