But you let Nolan Arenado beat you two games in a row. I love sensible baseball strategy.

Howard walks Stephenson with 2 out and the pitching coach comes out and has an extended, animated conversation. Must have been something like this: You are supposed to be working on your change-up to righties and sliders to lefties. He procedes to throw Farmer 4 change-ups, the last he gets a hit on, after throwing just 3 in his 39 previous innings and is now up to throwing about 1% change-ups this season. Then he throws Shogo 11 straight sliders and gets a K on a 12th pitch fastball.

Akiyama has a third of the Reds’ hits today.

As opposed to Tucker saying ever so nonchalantly, "That's baseball."

These stats they make for the game have gotten so silly.. And this is not Sadak's fault, he has to read what's out there.
Is Mahle being 2nd all time in the list of consecutive road games where a pitcher has pitched at least 2 innings and gave up 3 runs or less... Is that
really something to be proud of?
If it was something like at least 5 innings, then I would agree that it's worth mentioning.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

No doubt. Reds will have part ways with him after the season. Just no pop in that bat at all.

Agreed that it's silly. It just gives them something to talk about and gives them a graphic to show on the screen.

Who was the baseball genius in the Reds front office that is responsible for signing this guy? Getting paid millions to be one of the weakest hitters to ever wear a Reds uniform. Completely overmatched in MLB as a hitter.

The DP bails Tyler out. He came close to walking the worst hitter in the history of Pirate baseball.

Could the Pirates possibly get a combined shutout from seven pitchers?

Mahle came close to hitting a double there.

India was determined to swing at pitches on the ground.

Schrock visibly upset that his "swing at everything no matter what it is" approach didn't work.
