Hopefully Freidl will get some playing time these last two weeks, for no other reason than it will give me some reason to watch the Reds as the fail to make the postseason, lol.

Friedl could be an important piece next year when Castellanos opts out. He could very well be our starting CF next year.

I'd play Friedl in CF, with Barrero at SS, and Farmer at 3b every game the rest of the way. Although I might rotate Farmer into LF to give Schrock a few starts at 3b.

They might as well do it. Maybe play Deshields or Barrero against lefties, but really no reason not to play Friedl against righties.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

I would consider moving Winker this offseason....odds are his body is going to break down each season and he will miss 25-33% of the season.

I get that line of thinking, though there is a real possibility the DH is coming back to the NL next year. That should alter how frequently he gets injured.
    I'm not a system player. I am a system.

Plus if Cast ends up leaving, then they need hitters.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Fair point but the offense went into the tank without him.
