Tough to win with reds hitters having holes in their bats. Suarez actually most times swings like he doesn’t even have a bat in his hands. He broke the Mendoza line for playing a full season. For those who don’t know what the Mendoza line is he was a shortstop who played in the 70’s and his career batting average was approx. 200. Since then no one has approached his batting average until Suarez came along and actually shattered Mendozza’s record. imagine how far ahead of the Cardinals the Reds would be if Suarez even had one half of what he usually hits. I am not even going into his fielding because that has been so terrible this year. Sad sad way to end the season.
And Castillo has proven to be a dud having the most losses in the majors this year. If he even had a 500 record Reds would be ahead of the Cardinals.

Nice pick-off by Miley, but India brought on the rhubarb by poor execution of the rundown by throwing it prematurely! Umps got it correct in the end.

Ughhh. Just when I think we have a little better defense at third base. Wade Miley stays unshaken.
    May the Lord bless

    Will Smith is really good.

Then a classic 1st row GABP HR to LF is only worth one run.

I guess folks are watching football, game thread not too active. Dodgers get a Will Smith HR and go ahead 1-0. Could have been worse but a Miley pickoff.

I wonder if Wade is starting to tire this season, he’s up around his normal full season (since 2016, anyway) innings number.

Very tough trio for Reds to face this weekend, maybe they can manage a few runs coming up.

3-0 on Lux homer. This task is going from uphill to Herculean.

Now a 2 run front row job to RF, lined into the wind. LF was way up in helping wind. 4 straight hits against Miley. 3-0.

    Ugh, 3-0 Dodgers.

Fun season but this team is missing the last little oomph to make it in, and probably a few doses of oomph to actually win a playoff series.

Yeah, I know Dodgers have a great lineup. But I was thinking same thing. Miley might be running out of gas.

I could be wrong. But in many instances I think the Dodgers manipulate the IL with there pitchers to keep them fresh. Again not saying most don't have legitimate injuries. But they are so deep i have thought for a few years now if they have a player with the slightest of injury they IL them immediately. Keeps pitchers more fresh for postseason.

Kershaw against Aquino is one of the overmatches of the decade. At least the way AA has been going lately.

My god… I am so tired of watching Suarez and Aquino at the plate. Just really, really bad stuff.

I know this has been said all too often…. I am frustrated…. Being a Reds fan…. Big sigh
    Nothing but gas

AA just isn’t an MLB caliber player. It’s time to move on from him.
