Glad to see Barrero and hope he can hit a little this last week. I would like to see what Friedl could do also.

I'm stuck with the Nats announcers since I am in their black out zone. They pale in comparison to Thrall and Brantley.

See Miley is getting skipped. I was figuring it would be Vlad.

They are both worn out. So take your pick. I would like see them give Santillan another start this next week. So with off days they might could skip them both.

Miley pretty much looked out of gas in his last few starts, they may be thinking the rest will do him good.

Looks like game time it will be 60 degrees and around 10-11pm it will be in low 50’s. Looks like no chance of rain.

Here’s to a 10 game winning streak and the Cardinals doing what the Braves did during the last 10 games of 2011.

If the Reds can win these four against the lowly Nats, the Brewers can hold on against the Cards today, and the Cubbies can take three of four from the Redbirds at Wrigley this weekend, we will be one game back with six to go. Four of the Reds' last six games are against the Pirates, while half of the Cards' final six are against the Brewers. I guess what I'm saying... aw hell, just forget it.

    In 10 starts in September: .367/.487/.833, 11 hits including 5 multi-hit games

    In 16 starts in August:
    .148/.254/.352, 8 hits and no multi-hit games.
Hopefully the start of a lasting turnaround for next ear.

Maybe Eugenio does better without much pressure?

Cards came back and won. Of course.

Wouldn’t have mattered, but hope should no longer be springing eternal in the Reds fans’ collective breasts. It’s over, absolutely 110% over.

But, at least there won’t be any sort of “lost opportunity” angst, and those of you who can stomach watching this team play can just enjoy the game for the sake of the game.
