I don’t like losing, I understand attrition in MLB and the throwing programs of elite pitchers in today’s game. I also understand the odds of baseball matchups and the reality of September baseball when a team has battled all year and realize they are short.

I understand disappointment, luck and the egos involved in a clubhouse.

I don’t look backwards to judge today’s players behavior because I and the world have changed.

I consume baseball like a Deacon consumes handshakes on Sunday morning.
