TJ Friedl has reached base five times and scored five times in his big-league career. As the automatic runner in the 11th inning, he scored the game-winner on Aristides Aquino's walk-off hit.

Kind of wish they would start Santillan or even Hoffman. Vlad is out of gas it seems.

Since July 23, Reds rookie Tony Santillan has allowed one run. In September, he has allowed just three total hits in 11 2/3 scoreless innings.

His transition from a starter to a reliever this season couldn’t have gone better.

Reds starter Tyler Mahle enters tomorrow’s start with 198 strikeouts, which ranks eighth in the NL.

Over the last 10 seasons, the Reds have only had three pitchers with 200 strikeouts seasons. They came from Johnny Cueto, Sonny Gray and Luis Castillo.

Wade Miley was scheduled to start on Monday, but after his start was pushed back due to a sore neck he now heads to the IL.

Now that they're packing it up and shelving guys, it sure would be nice to give Barrero a string of starts at SS. I think Farmer has proven enough, he's worth keeping, we get it.

Wouldn't have mattered how well they played from Sept 1 till now with the Cardinals winning 14 straight. Reds would have had to played nearly flawless just to stay in front of them.

Agree, I said that as well last night. I want him at SS. But at the very least at least let him play somewhere every day. Do we really need to see Schrock over Barrero?

The only thing Farmer has proved is that he's a utility player capable of having a hot month. You can't sustain success with him at SS. Now, if they were to drastically rebuild this offense into one that can get on base, steal and hit for power, then he becomes more tolerable over there.

Miley must have gotten that neck strain from watching all those homers he allowed.
