    Waste of money for a tight fisted organization. Why pay for Tucker to catch 52 times? When you can ride Stephenson 140 games get a backup for league minimum to start 22 games. Money would be far better used else where. Tucker is a bad hitter.

    Nobody catches 140 games anymore. What Sparky did to Johnny Bench, and Lou did to Joe Oliver in 1992 would be criminal in today's game. The last catcher to make 140 appearances behind the plate was Yadier Molina in 2016. Molina leads all NL catchers in appearances this season (as of yesterday) with 116.

    The 2021 Reds will finish no worse than .500 (and likely a few games over). I am glad about that. That possibility is not looking as good for the Padres.
    “I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

    My prediction of 83 is looking pretty solid, though I think they beat it.

    A lot easier to build on an 84 win team than a 70 win team.

    I was at 83 too. High five!

    I hope they win 85.

    And I feel so bad for poor Manny Machado. ........ NOT!

    The Padres' collapse has been epic.

    For those unhappy with today's lineup
    Bobby Nightengale
    @nightengalejr
    The No. 6, 7 and 8 hitters in the #Reds lineup today (Asdrúbal Cabrera, Delino DeShields and Jose Barrero): 6-for-11 with four walks.

    I mean the Padres have fun (that’s cool!) but there sure is a lot of cockiness for a team who has accomplished absolutley nothing.

    Funny how RH bats do well against LH pitching.

    Mike Costanzo may now retake his proper place in Reds lore.
