The #Reds today selected from Triple-A Louisville the contract of LHP Reiver Sanmartin and placed on the family medical emergency list RHP Luis Castillo. C Beau Taylor was designated for assignment.

Riley O'Brien will make his MLB debut tomorrow, filling in for Luis Castillo in the starting rotation. Castillo is now scheduled to pitch on Friday.C. Trent Rosecrans

Luis Castillo will make his start on Friday, Reds manager David Bell said.
RHP Riley O'Brien will make the start for the Reds on Tuesday in Chicago in his big-league debut. Sonny Gray will start Wednesday, following by Castillo and then Tyler Mahle. Sunday's starter is TBD

Sounds like Vlad Sun. Because they would need to send Sanmartin down tomorrow for Riley O and then send either Perez or Riley down for Castillo.
They could keep todays or tomorrows starter up and let them pitch again Sun if they send Perez down tomorrow.
Or they could send Vlad down.

Maybe Sanmartin could fill a much needed LH reliever role next season. If they don't sign a LH reliever I would at least give him a look at that role in spring.
