Bernhardt does what he does. I just can’t figure out his popularity. Good guy, and I imagine he will be brought back, but why? Defense?

i doubt they do that for 7.5 million (what his option is for), with our future catcher already aboard.. I sign a backup for Tyler and use that 7 million for the bullpen!

so if they loose tonight AND tomorrow and finish 82-80, that is a 1 game over .500 improvement over last season.. at this rate it will be 8 more years before they hit 90 wins, at that pace

Disappointing effort the last two days, this one in particular should have been a W.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

That was easy. Could have been last game with rain expected in Pittsburgh tomorrow.

Damn shame what this team turned in to. The 3 pages on this BB is more effort than they deserve. Gutless team IMO.

Thanks for taking 160 games to figure it out. This whole season is on suarez, mr swing for the fences. If they bat him first sunday he might get his shameful .200 BA and maybe hit that 50th HR

    Re: 10-2-21 Reds @ Pirates

From August 20 through the end of the season, the series records for each of these two teams will end up this way: PITT : 7W / 4L / 2 S ; CINN : 1W / 11 L / 1S

I don't really know how to spin that into anything positive. It's clear that from mid August on, the Pirates were better than the Reds. Makes me very sad to say that. What's worse, in the games played between these two teams over the last month, the Pirates are the team that showed the most hustle, energy, and determination and seemed to want those games more.
