    Jordan Shusterman @j_shusterman_

fun KBO news: Shin-Soo Choo hit his 20th HR of the season today, becoming only the 2nd player in KBO to reach 20+ HR/20+ SB this season. he's 39!

Is anyone still unsure about whether Xander Bogaerts is good?

Agree it seems a bad deal for the Rockies. But new CBA coming up, and this is cost certainty for them. Could end up being a better deal than what they'd get with the new CBA. Might end up worse, but I tend towards the former as I think (hope?) the new CBA tilts a bit more towards players being paid properly for their productive years (now that teams have smartened up and stopped overpaying for post-peak). Regardless, certainty usually > uncertainty, so I suspect this isn't the end of teams locking in players like Senzatela.

I’m not buying that 2nd Stanton smash would’ve only been a HR in 11 parks

Why would you want to lock in a guy who is as bad on the road as Senzatela? This seems to be like a bizarro response to Coors. Yeah he can survive at home but the price is an OPS against of way over .800 for the last three years (IIRC, .923 is the 2019 number). I'll take uncertainty.

I’d be updating my resume today if I were Phil Nevin.

I didn't see the game but I read what happened. All I could think was how George Steinbrenner would have already lopped off Nevin's head if he were still alive.

I guess I don't get the controversy about that play. It was an err on the side of aggression, which is what you want at that level. The Red Sox basically needed to execute two throws and catches perfectly to get Judge. And they did that. Other than it being Yankees fans, who are addicted to *****ing about everything, I really don't see what Nevin did wrong.

Agree, it was a great relay play all the way around.
