    Cincinnati Reds
    @Reds

The #Reds declined to tender a contract for the 2022 season to RHP Brandon Bailey, making him a free aget. Contracts were tendered to the other 10 arbitration-eligible players. The 40-man roster is now at 38.

As a competitor this one stings. But I’m thankful the @Reds are giving me the opportunity to prove I’m healthy & show what I can do on a MiLB deal. Adversity shows one’s true character & my first instinct is to get back to work! Nothing is ever given. Time to earn it. #GoReds

    I hope everyone reads this.

This is these guys whole existence until it isn't.

That's the driving force of the game, their need to compete.

Mad respect to these guys who made it to MLB, what an accomplishment

Angels signed Lorenzen to a one-year deal.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Just trying to agree with you...

    But I would want a multi-year deal with a shortened '22

Sources: #Rangers still working to upgrade their starting rotation after the big signings of Semien and Seager. They've inquired to the #Reds about trading for one of their starting pitchers (Luis Castillo, Sonny Gray, or Tyler Mahle). @MLB @MLBNetwork

I don't know if its changed, but what I've seen of Brinson, he looked pretty awful in the OF. I agree, I'd take a look at him over Aquino but I think he's likely a 2 tool player. Has speed and some power, but his hit and field tools look terrible. Don't know about his arm.

Reds are still fielding interest in Luis Castillo, Tyler Mahle and Sonny Gray. Chance for a trade today.

Sonny Gray and Aristedes Aquino for Cole Winn, Sam Huff and Adolis Garcia. Who says No? Winn is the primary return here and would be another decent option for the Kiddie corp to go with Greene, Lodolo and Ashcraft. Garcia could play CF or possibly be the platoon guy with Friedl there. Huff would be the back-up catcher who could play against LHP while Moose sits and Stephenson slides to DH.

This is not a rumor, this is me specualting on a deal with Texas in response to the rumor that they've inquired.

It’s from the usual suspects. All of it points to teams aggressively trying to trade for a Reds pitcher, none of it points to the Reds actually wanting to trade any of them.

Heyman again is being coy, “there’s a chance” is great cover. If it happens, he looks smart, if it doesn’t he can say it the chance was low.

They chummed the water, so it makes sense the sharks are circling. My add is they knew they were chumming the water, and it's going to stay chummed for the next year. The story with these Reds is they've got three SPs who are going to become trade fodder at some point.

Yep, the Reds have pretty much made everyone on the roster making significant money available (per a reporter)
The three good starters are the most marketable.
Reds would probably prefer to trim more payroll.
Reds are entering another "rebuild" by default (the "core" is aging and approaching FA, and they don't want to add talent).
I am not sure how it can be any more clear that they are chumming the waters as you said.
Maybe they don't find a deal that they like, but it sure looks like they are trying hard.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob
