Not sure why ppl hate Ian Happ all he has done is kill us and hit for an insane 1.231 OPS in GABP which is .200 points above Castellanos. He also is a career 111 OPS+ hitter. Castellanos is at 115 for comparison. No chance the Cubs would be dumb enough to trade him to us or any NL Central team though..

I would just like to note that these haven’t been $17+ million in savings for the Reds… these been $1.5 million in savings. The cost of the buyouts… at no point we’re the Reds paying Tucker 7.5 million, or should they have. Miley a million to walk away, better than this. I knew they wouldn’t pick up that option, and he was a shell of himself by the end. Surprised they couldn’t figure out a way to get a lottery ticket for him.

According to baseball reference, exercising player option triggers a club option for 2023 at major league minimum. Could end up being a bargain.
