When someone with a post count of 0 makes a bee line for the non-baseball board, can't we just assume that person has been banned previously? It seems pretty obvious.

Well all I can say is that when the media is doing its best fear porn on the new variant (I'm not downplaying it - its just no one knows if this will be a problem or will be a bump in the road), this thread has devolved into 2 people doing their best to own everyone else on the thread telling us things we either already know (ie, a large portion of this country is bat-sxxt crazy and ignorant) or that they can find studies that prove whatever point they want to make and the fact that no one here will debate them shows they one.

And if one was going to use a handle of a Catholic High School in the Cincy area, why not use Moeller, at least that has Reds connections.

Are you this dense? I'll take you at your word and answer...

We don't require flu vaccines in school, nor do we require masks

You do realize schools get shut down, sometimes for a week or more at a time, because of flu outbreaks, right? And the flu does not spread nearly as easily as COVID does.

The post you quoted specifically mentioned the COVID vaccine.

People act like the flu has absolutely no effect on schools, and it is either ignorance or being deliberately obtuse. Take your pick.

This is where I am at. Nothing in the past two years of this virus has shown that it can mutate to the point where vaccination and previous infection don't protect against it.

I wonder if they are just being ultra conservative with the new variants. It is telling that Biden mentioned "boosters" as the prevention for the new variant. Seems to me if they didn't think the vax would protect, more drastic measures would be taken.

Rarely do schools get shut down for flu, but yeah, it does happen sometimes. I'm not one of those who think flu has no effect on schools. It does. My point is that schools are freaking out more on C19 than the flu

I got that, just piling on that this person is just trolling us. Like I said last night, he or she's probably a Cubs fan -- or worse a soccer fan.

In fact, it might be the "more like the common cold" variant we've been hoping to see the disease morph into.

Let's hope! Or that that's what the vaccine turns it into. But the media can't stand nuance - so it's just fearcasting for now. And no one will know if it's bad or a nothing burger for 2 entire weeks.

I don't know what they used to be like, but from what I hear from other parents this is legitimately the case now.

Not speaking of Cov Cath specifically, but catholic schools in central Ohio. Politicization everywhere.

Were some recent non-CovCathRittenGreatAgain22 posts deleted from this thread?
