I can imagine. The consensus seems that Riley is bailing because he doesn’t want to coach in the SEC.

I’d imagine the SEC will lose a coach to Oklahoma, whether it’s Mark Stoops, Lane Kiffin, or Josh Heupel.
And Bob Stoops has been named interim coach. Wow.

Stoops and Barry were both assistants to Hayden Fry at Iowa in the early 80's.

I think Barry Alvarez was the AD when Bielema left IIRC. Stoops is a Fox analyst now but still a legend at OU.
One of those players was Malachi Nelson, top QB recruit in the nation who has decommitted already from Oklahoma. I’d say he’s following Riley to LA.
100% agree. Wide open Pac-12 and fertile recruiting grounds in SoCal. Also here the weather is a little better in the winter too.

Oh they are....bigtime.
LSU is just not very attractive to a lot of candidates right now. Even if they throw big money they have the title IX stuff, difficult booster involvement (ive heard the admin/AthDept were told they better not hire Mark Stoops), and the last two coaches they've canned won national championships for them.
It also doesnt help that instead of going after realistic candidates they focused on Lincoln Riley and Jimbo Fisher.
Tennessee fans are understandably uncomfortable right now.......
