Last 3 seasons for Baez: .303 OBP 106 OPS+

My guess is that in the Tigers home park, those numbers get worse. He’s excellent defensively, the Tigers need to hope that he doesn’t decline too much on defense, because that will be his main value playing there, imo.

Here are Baez’s last three full seasons -

His OPS+ in 2018 was 129. OPS .881.
His OPS+ 2019 was 115. OPS .847.
His OPS+ in 2021 was 117. OPS .813,

Like I said, his stub (59 games) 2020 season was poor. He wasn’t the only one in a shortened season.

Clearly worth the money, especially with his defense.

My wife was on a flight with CSN from San Jose to PDX. While she was waiting for me to pick her up they were waiting for a car about ten feet from her.
