Jays could never have signed Berrios if they hadn't dumped Rolen to the Reds for EE and the Reds failure to rework Wily Mo's contract meant they couldn't afford Miley and had to include Josiah Gray and Jeter Downs to dump Homer's contract after they were fleeced by KCR in the Cueto dea. Clearly the Reds lost the EE trade which is all to say its just another reason to loathe the Joe Randa signing.

Counterpoint: Reds should have signed Mookie Wilson out of retirement and put him a first to have a DP possibility of Pokey to Gookie to Mookie.

I thought this was a good article summarizing the challenges that are before MLB pre-2022

I imagine the Angels will be involved in the Castillo/Gray sweepstakes?

Only thing I’d want from the Angels is Jo Adell. If the Mariners want one/both of them, I try to start an inter division bidding war. I’d rather deal with Seattle. More dynamic OF options to choose from. Better pitching options too IMO

Brandon Marsh wouldn't be a bad pick-up from the Angels, but I'd need more than just him.

Atlanta is a good target as well with Waters and Pache.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

All the combined FA catchers have a combined negative WAR, wonder which one the Reds will get?
