These are 1961 Topps Baseball Cards, which reflects the 1960 season. But Bevan, Nunn, and Jay didn't play for the Reds until 61.

Roy's right. Never heard him called anything other than Joey Jay. Also I remember well there was a lot of hope about Hook, but he never really fulfilled it.

Fowler was a 31 year old rookie in 1954, he came from a big family and his oldest brother (Jesse) had a cup of coffee with Cardinals in 1924, THIRTY years before Art made it to MLB, 24 years separated them
I'm 87% sure that Joe Jay is Votto's great uncle.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
