Rolen will need to pick up about 50 votes next year to be enshrined.

Ortiz is a HOFer while Bonds and Clemens are not? Lolk.

As long as he doesn't do something ill-advised like tell everyone not to vote him, he's got this.

One of those three tested positive for PED use, and it wasn’t Bonds nor Clemens.

How does one justify not voting for Bonds or Clemens because of their PED use, but voting for Ortiz?

I'm very happy Bonds and Clemens didn't get in. That's my position and I'm sticking to it.

Rolen next year. And we have to make sure that Votto plays one year longer than a certain jerk from St. Louis (who will unjustly get in) so when Joey is inducted there are none of the best fans in baseball there.

The real travesty is that Justin Morneau got 5 votes and Jake Peavy got none.

Yeah, I can’t get on board with this either.

Obviously it’s because Ortiz is a fun, kind guy and probably gave a good interview or said “Hi” one time to some of the voters.

The baseball writers have been insufferable today pimping Bonds and Clemens.

But to them I ask of their Holiness..."To you righteous 65 percent or so who voted for Bonds and Clemens, how can 2/3's of you leave Sammy Sosa off your ballot?"

Heck A-Rod may be the better example here. Sammy's borderline for me.

But I don't get the discrepancy between Bonds and Clemens vote totals, and say, A-Rods.

For me, Bonds and Clemens were HOF’ers before they started using PED’s. PED’s didn’t help them become who they were for most of their career. I can’t be sure of that with A-Rod.
