Sweden is not recommending the vaccine for healthy 5-11 year olds as they do not believe the benefits necessariliy outweigh the risks. I'm personally pretty ambivalent about whether my 11 year-old gets vaccinated for Covid.

I went back and forth on it...we ultimately decided to based on the fact that she was a girl and the risk of myocarditis was lower in females. I am glad she was vaccinated as she bounced back after 3 days from Covid where Mom and Dad still have the cough, fatigue, and chest tightness a week later.
