I did not care for Hatteberg largely because he was "blocking" Joey Votto. It was totally unfair, of course.

Oh yeah, Mack Jones also. I saw Fred Whitfield's name and I remember everyone loving him as a pinch hitter but I thought Mack Jones was more reliable back then.

I don’t know if Aaron Harang was around for too long to be considered in this category, but for much of the time he was with the Reds, he was the only SP good enough to remind us that the Reds were a major league team.
