While we're all throwing around praise, I'd like to send another congrats to the design team on the new uniforms this year. They're clean, they're sharp, they kept the iconic helmet, while getting rid of the cartoonish elements of the old unis. Those things looked beautiful under the lights last night. Sometimes small, positive upgrades like that can contribute to changing "the culture."

This article gives some good detail Sea Ray on that...

A new tradition starts tonight. A game ball goes to the City of Cincinnati.

Balls will be dropped off at Pontiac, Walt's Hitching Post and Mt. Lookout Tavern

That's interesting but if it's due to their performance yesterday, how can they know now how the other officials will do in today and tomorrow's games? They may rate even worse

As to the whistle, it didn't blow until the ball was about 5 ft from Boyd's hands. It's not like the that split second impacted the Raiders. It would have been a major screw job if they called Burrow out of bounds or if they replayed the down. No way that whistle impacted the play. It's about time the Bengals get a break

Agree. And I would say the same thing if the play resulted in an interception instead of a TD.
How do we know he's not Mel Torme?

I think the question isn’t about the play itself. The question is why in the hell did the ref blow the whistle at all? Burrow was like 3-4 feet from the sideline. By the rulebook that down should have been replayed. Which, would have completely hosed the bengals. However, the split second that whistle is blown the play is dead. Period. The Raiders DB could say “I heard the whistle so gave up on the play.” Even if he was BS’ing, it’s still a realistic response. Players are trained to play to the whistle.

I mean, just listen to the bengals players and coaches response to it. “I didn’t hear a whistle” which a grin on their faces. They know it should have been replayed.

But again, not either teams fault. It is 100% the fault of the refs. The whistle shouldn’t have even been considered to be blown there. Burrow wasn’t close to out of bounds. The refs shouldn’t do another game because frankly their integrity is in question after that play.
What would you say.....ya do here?

Larry O foot injury will be reevaluated later this week. Trey Hendrickson concussion protocol. Daniel’s with a groin and likely out.

Rumor Bates texted Atkins not sure how legit that is though…source was Elise Jesse.

The above is now confirmed By Dehner and others.

It's kind of odd to see the NFL trash these refs like mistakes don't happen all the time...

"Sharp" money and the sportsbooks were on Raiders +6. Public was on the Bengals. NFL now has to come out and save face because some of their advertisers/partners lost money.

Hell is freezing over fellas. I laid down $100 (+1300) for the bengals to win the Super Bowl. At the very least, if they win the AFC (which after watching this game I have a better feeling about), then I may hedge in the Super Bowl. But you can just sense things are coming together at the right time.

I'm going to guess the first game on Saturday again. Assuming they'll want Rodgers, Brady, or Mahomes in the two prime time games.

At the very least, I would guess we will either play the 1st game on Saturday or Sunday. If we play Tennessee, we're not getting the evening slot.

With Kansas City playing tonight, I’m guessing they get a full week, play on Sunday and the Bengals get Saturday
