Does anyone else find it interesting that the people who have similar lists tend to agree with each other most of the time on the board as well? I mean, looking back on that, it should be obvious, but it didn't hit me until just now.

It is interesting. I also find it interesting that most on the list are current players even though the original question stated it could include anyone in the organization.

Several years ago, my son and I started going to spring training for a week. He likes to go to the practice fields and stay all day. I really started watching the coaches, special instructors, etc. I was amazed how much extra time they would spend with players. Corky Miller with Stephenson. Benavides with Suarez. Davis with the outfielders. Soto teaching pitching to the younger guys.

It really gave me more of an appreciation of the people in the organization the were not players. They would talk baseball with the fans. Remember your face from the following year. I realize the players are the focal point of the game, but the Reds really have some good people in their organization.

While I like Chris Welsh just fine, it's not he whom I actively root for.

He might be 27th on the list, though.
