I vaccinated our under 5 kid but, when the poll man came by to ask, I yelled LETS GO BRANDON and slammed the screen door on his face.

I'm just short of two weeks and I'm glad to report that my taste/smell is coming back nicely. I'm feeling about 95%. Hope your recovery continues to go smoothly...
I’ve kinda stalled out. I still feel a lot better than I did Friday and Saturday, but since Saturday night I’ve been the same. Runny nose, scratchy throat, hoarse voice, achy, pretty tired but it’s also hard to sleep. Advil takes care of the achiness and a decongestant handles the runny nose and cough. Hoping for some progress overnight.

It makes zero sense to vaccinate kids. Thankfully, most parents understand that.

Eh. It doesn’t have to be a Democrat activity, if you’re creative. We sat our kid down before each shot and played them a documentary on DailyMotion called “Fetus Sale 2: This Time The Fetuses Talk.” We explained that, even if they’re vaccinated, they can still support Donald Trump and God and oppose evil, like the people in the video selling the talking fetuses for money to fund the DNC. My kid said “What about Hunter Biden?” And I said “In this home, we consider him the worst politician of them all and chant for him to be locked up.” And my kid said “How much more time until I’m 18 and/or can work with an attorney to be emancipated under US law?” By that time, however, I was already in the garage smacking one of those rubber dummies, listening to some heavy metal music written and performed by musicians who are definitely diametrically opposed to everything I believe in, and shouting “LETS GO BRANDON.” I hurt my hand but it was worth it for the liberal tears. So, in summary, I think there’s different ways a parent can choose to proceed with their child and the subject of vaccination.

Yeah, I don't think I'd vaccinate my kid 'till high school. Interesting that so many parents agree with me

What's even more interesting is how willing people are to disregard expert recommendations on lieu of their own, lesser knowledge.

You claim to regard expert recommendations but then you listen to doctors and scientists. Which is it? Do you regard experts or do you regard doctors and scientists?

Are these the same experts that said it was OK to publicly protest with thousands of others but said you couldn't go to Grandma's funeral with ____ other people?

I gotta question the judgment of experts that are recommending kids get vaccinated for a strain that's been long gone for about 2 yrs now. Furthermore kids are not very susceptible to this bug.

You probably don't even realize you illustrated my point. But thank you for doing just that.

    Re: Covid-19 Part XVII

Now the CDC is saying that vaccinated people should not be treated any different than unvaccinated:

The CDC's COVID-19 prevention guidance will no longer differentiate by whether people are up-to-date on their vaccinations.
    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/cdc-cov...commendations/

So what's the advantage of being vaccinated? Where's the carrot? This is not going to encourage people to run out and get vaccinated

I think vaccinations got us through the worst part of C19 but until they're updated, these vaccinations are out of date
