Northwestern had only six available players - I'm assuming the others have covid, but that is just a guess. And in honor of some of you, I'm linking to a Foxnews report on thishttps://www.foxnews.com/sports/north...-19-infections

These stories are so vague, we can't base our opinions on facts but my issue here is that C19 is being treated differently than other "bugs" such as flu, cold, whatever.

It's common sense. I'm surprised people need it spelled out.

What is common sense? I have no idea what their health and safety protocols are. There are still places where if a group of people are exposed, they have to stay home for five days, even if they test negative.

That if a sporting event is canceled it's because they don't have healthy players. I don't buy anymore that it's ever because players have been exposed, I mean if someone shows me otherwise I'll change my mind, and I'm not discounting the possibility there are still very isolated pockets like that, but yeah if I see a Big 10 sporting event canceled my mind isn't going to go to where Sea Ray's goes. I just assume they don't have a healthy roster. I'm really surprised anyone would think anything else at this late date.

They specifically mentioned the C19 protocol so it appears to me that they're treating this disease different than others. When you say "healthy players" what does that mean? I'd say a healthy player is one w/o symptoms. I'm wondering if they're considering an unhealthy player as one who tested positive for C19 but is otherwise healthy

Do those players have no sense of patriotism? They so willingly allow themselves to be used to help the liberals win? If they aren’t willing to fight tooth and nail against the Democrats in every way possible then perhaps they truly are sick #Losing

Face masks made ‘little to no difference’ in preventing spread of COVID, scientific review finds

Research suggests CDC’s claims of mask effectiveness may have been exaggerated

Yep, that whole mask thing was BS and now we have proof

I’ve been saying masks serve no purpose for years without proof and you all mocked me. I bet those people feel real foolish today now that’s there’s proof.

Sea Ray was mocked in this thread mercilessly over the last few years and yet, a lot his “conspiracy theories” turned out to be true (don’t get me wrong, he’s had some interesting posts I’ve disagreed with). We were fed a bunch of lies over the past few years, some unintentional in the early months, but other times intentionally for power and/or money. So many citizens, small businesses, gov’t employees, the military, schools/students suffered mightily due to the garbage/lies we were led to believe. As a country, we need to look inward and hold those accountable while learning from these mistakes so we’re much better prepared for the next round of new viruses.

I'm guessing the vast, vast majority of states will do nothing next time unless it's something like ebola where people are shooting blood out of their eyes, and even then we'd have denier idiots.

If they do nothing then maybe we did learn something from this debacle

My all time favorite pandemic phrase, coming pretty much from that same demographic was, "trust 'the' science".

You know... That one science? Always trust it. Just like going to 'the' Walmart. 60 percent of the time it works every time.
"Lemonade requires a significant amount of sugar. Otherwise, you've just made lemon juice."

Just curious on your thoughts. Are citizens of the US not allowed to question things without being a denier idiot? I’m certainly not a denier and I got vaccinated twice for Covid and got a tetanus shot last year. I’m all for doing everything I can for my families and others safety. But, over the past few years, we were lied to about masks, vaccines, schools/children and more. Some of the truth was continually and purposely hidden under the guise of being safe.
